    Horse riding!

Over the course of the school year, different classes have had the opportunity to go horse riding. Our students have enjoyed getting to know the horses and have shown great resilience and bravery, come rain or shine! Well done especially to those who were new to horses and horse riding and rose to the challenge and got stuck in.

    Class of the week: Birch

Birch has been working very hard this term, which is visible in the beautiful work being created. We have also been enjoying the weather through forest school and bubble play.

In English, we have been looking at different forms of poetry. Although poetry can be difficult, all of the class have written their own poems using onomatopoeia (words that are sounds) and acrostic poems all about themselves.

In maths, we are currently looking at money, and we have looked at all of the different types of coins and notes and have begun to use real-life scenarios to add and subtract money. Next week, we will be starting our new topic of time, which is very exciting!

This half-term is our turn for horse-riding and in design and technology we are researching and making our own working greenhouses!

    Certificates for the week

Well done to Birch students who have received their swimming certificates this week!
