    Class of the week: M1

M1 has been a class that has shown excellent effort throughout this half-term and is evident by the amazing work that they have been doing in all subjects throughout the weeks. We have also had the opportunity to grow and look after some plants for Forest school.

In English, we have been learning about recount writing. Recount writing has been something that M1 have really enjoyed as we plan an activity around the school and once we have completed the activity we write a recount of what we have done. The learners of M1 have produced some fantastic work through this and have expanded their writing abilities by learning sequential words to help structure sentences.

In Maths this half-term to date, we have been looking at coordinates. This has been a topic that we have been very creative within lessons, from creating a grid on the floor for playing battleships to creating a map of the class for a treasure hunt!

    National School Sports Week!

This week was National School Sports Week, so we have been embracing this by fitting in some extra physical activities, such as football, volleyball, Joe Wicks workouts and even showing off our moves with Just Dance! Collectively, we have completed extra hours and hours of exercise to help everyone to reach the suggested 1 hour of exercise a day to keep fit and healthy! Well done everyone for getting involved, especially in the lovely hot (and sweaty) weather we've had this week.

    Certificates for this week:

Well done to everyone who achieved 100% attendance last half-term and earned your certificates this week!

Congratulations to M3 for their certificates for Honesty and also Riley in M3 for supporting other students and earning an Empathy certificate.

And last but not least, a big round of applause for many of our students who received a certificate for their hard work at Forest School.

Congratulations to our top Dojo point scorers:

Declan from Churchmoor and Aaron from Sherbrook - well done for all of your effort!
