This week, our year 7 students had the privilege of going to Harvey Hadden to join other schools in a sporting event! There was curling, handball, Our student put in a fantastic effort and even won some of the events! We know how important staying active is for our children, not just physically, but mentally and socially too, and having these types of events makes such a big difference to the wellbeing of our pupils. We can't wait for the next event!
M4 have had a fantastic spring term filled with learning, creativity, and exploration. In English, we have been immersing ourselves in the book Skellig, developing a deeper understanding of characters’ behaviours and emotions. We have enjoyed making predictions and writing creatively about different scenes from the story.
In Maths, the children have been developing their knowledge of multiplication and division, with a focus on the 3, 4 and 8 times tables. They have worked hard to build confidence and accuracy in these key skills.
We have also had a wonderful term of DT lessons, creating our own bug wall hangings. The children learned how to use the Batik technique (Miss Hanks too!), using wax to design beautiful, nature-themed drawings.
Next term, we will continue to build our creative skills by exploring different types of sewing, including cross stitch, running stitch and seed stitch, which we will use to decorate our designs. We are really looking forward to another exciting term ahead!
Kody from Endeavour and Riley F from Sherbrook - keep up the fantastic effort!
