Animal care

We are incredibly fortunate to be able to have several animals on our upper site, including guinea pigs and Griff the dog! Having these animals allows our children to know how to care for them, and be able to empathise with creatures of all varieties. Our children also enjoy spending time with the animals and sharing company with them in their free time.

Class of the week: M1

M1 have been very busy over the last term and have started the new year on full form!

In M1, we have read The Girl of Ink & Stars, all about a mythical island, under attack by demon dogs. The children came up with brilliant predictions and insights while reading this book, and then wrote their own newspaper articles where Endeavour Academy also encountered demon dogs!

We have also been back in the kitchen for Vocational Studies. We have been investigating homemade lunch options and have been making some delicious food, including savoury muffins and pizza. M1 have been growing in confidence with their bridge method for cutting safely, and with measuring our ingredients out accurately. We may have a few budding chefs!

M1 have also been undertaking the Fresh Start reading programme and their reading has come along in leaps and bounds. It is amazing to see the pupils' confidence growing, and they have even been testing out their reading knowledge by playing hangman with the rest of the class.

Keep up the good work M1.

Top Dojo achievers

A big round of applause to Declan at Churchmoor and Aaron at Sherbrook, keep up the good work!

The Youth Team presents a free programme, giving 10-13 year olds across Nottingham City the opportunity to play football and take part in other multi-sport activities. There is also arts & crafts, gaming, pool and more offered. The aim of these sessions is to use the power of football and the value of sports participation to help engage, inspire, and educate young people.
