European Day of Languages
This week, we spent Friday celebrating all different countries in Europe. We learnt how many languages there are in Europe (225!) and learnt greetings in Spanish, French, Polish, Latvian and many more. Each class also explored a specific country, including French, German, Spanish, United Kingdom and Italy. We learnt about their cultures, including music, dancing, sport, literature, food, and even did lessons in our chosen language. M1 did an amazing lesson working out sums, all in Spanish, and Beech class learnt how to count in Italian!
To top it all off, we came together at the end of the day to share what we had discovered and even got to try some tasty (and unusual) food from Europe!
Class of the week: M3
Class M3 have had a busy and exciting few weeks! In Maths, we have been working hard on addition and subtraction, building our confidence with strategies to solve problems. Everyone has shown great focus and determination.
In English, we are enjoying reading Goodnight Mr Tom. The class has been discussing the characters, setting, and themes, and sharing thoughtful ideas about the story.
We are also very pleased to welcome a new learner to our class. They have settled in brilliantly, and it has been wonderful to see the whole class working together to make them feel at home.
To support this, we’ve taken part in lots of team-building activities, which have helped us strengthen our friendships, learn to work together, and celebrate each other’s successes.
Well done, Class M3, for all your hard work and enthusiasm!
Congratulations to our top Dojo point scorers:
Kaleb from Churchmoor and Owen from Sherbrook - well done for all of your efforts!
